You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make. (Jane Goodall)
When I go on my daily walk through my neighborhood, these are the signs I see. This is why I remain hopeful….
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” (Martin Luther King, Jr.)
We have a few of those in our neighborhood, too! I have one in my yard. They are daily reminders that even though it seems like it, I am not alone. I am fiercely hopeful and cautiously optimistic.

“Fiercely hopeful and cautiously optimistic” – I love that, Cheryl. It is a comfort to know how many people share that feeling. May our hope and optimism be a portent of things to come.

Thank you, Donna! I especially like the Mr. Rogers one, because it describes actions we can take every day, in every interaction. Peace and light to you, my friend!!

I love these signs. I see a few of them along my neighborhood walk too and they make my heart sing. Fingers crossed for a kind, hopeful day this Tuesday.

I see about five of these for every political sign I see. I think that bodes well. Fingers indeed crossed, Janis. Thanks!

Hopefully we won’t need signs to remind us of this after Election Day…

I’ve never seen any of those signs around here. Interesting to know that somewhere on this earth the signage is pleasant.

If my neighborhood is any indicator, Ally, it appears that all it takes is for one person to post a sign like this. Then, a week or two later, two or three more did, and in another few weeks, eight to ten more popped up, and pretty soon, they were ubiquitous. Somebody just needs to go first….
